  • We expect you to be respectful of our children, staff, and overall Nepali culture.
  • We will ask you to help with our community-based tourism program.

How long do I need to stay?

To minimize the frequency of staff changeover, we ask that volunteers  to commit to a minimum stay of at least three to four  weeks to ensure the psychological and emotional stability of the children. We have found that the children require an adjustment period to newcomers. However, we are able to accommodate guests who wish to volunteer for shorter periods at the orphanage, schools, hospitals or other local institutions.

How much will my volunteer stay cost?

Our philosophy is that anyone who is interested to help make a difference does not have to pay to come and volunteer.
Since our activities and programs rely solely on private donations, we don’t have the extra funds at our disposal. Our guests are always most welcomed  to make financial or material contributions whenever possible.

You can prepare your own food in your room, eat at a nearby home, eat food at the orphanage,or eat in a nearby hotel. If you choose to eat at a local hotel, you can expect to pay $25 per day for local Dal Bhaat Nepali food, tea, breakfast, snacks and boiled water to drink.

If you would like  to stay  a home of a local family, we can food a and accommodation only for USD 12.00 per day. There are no other program  participating costs or fees to get involved as a volunteer at our program.
